Gwen Hesser started working as a case manager at Strongest Link in September 2003 and hails from New Jersey. Gwen received her BA in Education and English and previously taught fifth grade in Trenton, NJ. She also spent one year in the Peace Corps where she served as a volunteer in Benin, West Africa. Gwen has enjoyed getting to know her clients and looks forward to continued community involvement. She enjoys going to Lynn Emergency Shelter and My Brother's Table where she does outreach and prevention education programs. Julia Biddle came aboard Strongest Link as a part-time case manager in October 2003. Prior to working here, Julia worked as a program case manager at the North Shore AIDS Health Project. She also worked at Action Inc.'s Compass Youth Program as an intake coordinator case manager. Julia moved to Massachusetts from Chicago with her husband and son in 2000. She has a BA in Theatre Speech Education from Northern Illinois University and a M. Ed. in Community Agency Counseling from Ohio University. Julia is happy to continue working in the HIV AIDS field and feels very fortunate to be working with such wonderful people. Michael Jezylo is the new case manager outreach worker who began working at Strongest Link in January 2004. Michael will work primarily out of Haverhill and the Community Action Drop-In Center. He comes to us with some 20 years experience in the field of HIV AIDS and substance abuse in both prevention and intervention. He has also conducted counseling, education and direct care.
